Dusky Sunday

Dusky Sunday is an indie-folk duo comprising of established musicians Fern Teather and Sam Thurlow. Drawing comparisons to Slow Club, Gabrielle Aplin, and Fleetwood Mac, Dusky Sunday stands out from similar bands and artists with their unique combination of catchy, lyrical songs played on acoustic guitar and percussion - topped with Fern’s smooth yet powerful voice, and tailed with Sam’s bassy backing vocals.

In June 2019 Dusky Sunday released their debut album ‘Gradients’ featuring singles ‘Make It Rain’ and ‘Oceans’, the latter of which climbed to number 10 in the iTunes singer/songwriter charts! Album number 2 is currently underway…

“A stunning duo who’re making big waves with their playing and songwriting.” - Stephen ‘Foz’ Foster, BBC Radio Suffolk

“What are Dusky Sunday? Intricate finger-style and strummed guitar, detailed and sympathetic percussion and Fern’s flawless voice-of-an-angel floats and weaves through it all, underpinned by Sam’s breathy Baritone just at the right moments. It’s pop music, but also folk, roots, world, singer/songwriter(s)… and all of those at once, formed into thoughtful songs of love and life.”

- David Booth

“Unique and fresh in their musical delivery with an on-stage chemistry to delight any audience.”

- Sophie Pol-Simon
